So, you've heard that hypnosis can "fix" many things in a person's life, but what can it really do and how does it work? The answer to these questions are really quite simple, and I think that you'll be surprised once you realize how easily a competently trained hypnotist like me can help you.
Let me just say one thing first... there is no substitute for a real hypnotist working with you one-on-one for your specific problem. Everyone is different and everyone's problems are the result of a unique event or situation in a person's life. There is no prerecorded hypnosis CD or MP3 download in the world that will "fix" everyone's problem. Prerecorded hypnosis scripts can be helpful for things such as general relaxation and stress relief, but it is very rare that a generalized recording will eliminate a person's problem.
Most of the issues that we experience in life, like fears and bad habits, and even some medically related problems, are the result of something that has happened to us in the past. Some issues may even be related to something that is going on in your life right now, but often its rooted somewhere in your past. Just one event in your past and the emotion that it evoked at that time, something that you may not even remember, can be the root cause for a problem that you have today.
Regardless of what your problem is, hypnosis can usually eliminate the cause so that the problem is "fixed". But how does it "fix" it?
Here is one example of how hypnosis works through a well known technique. After we relax your mind and body sufficiently, so much that you can easily go into a daydream-like state, your analytical conscious mind takes a little break. Its still there listening in on everything thats going on, you are essentially still in control. Just like when you daydream. But now that your conscious mind has stepped aside, we can have a conversation with your subconscious mind, the part of your mind that remembers everything that has happened in your life. By my asking your subconscious mind questions, it leads us to the heart of your problem, which in this example lies in your past. Through a series of questions, your subconscious mind takes us to that time and place where the initiating event happened. Its now, using some very simple techniques, that I help you understand what actually happened during that event, release any emotional attachment to that event, and help you instill new positive beliefs that will eliminate any remaining old beliefs that you had that were supporting the problem that you had.
Simple yet amazing stuff!
There are a number of other techniques that I use depending on your specific problem and how your subconscious mind has created the problem. But essentially, its not too different from what you just read above.
